ABOUT THE BANDS:
............................................................................................................

Imperial Broads are Lauren Crew (bass/vox), Nick Kennedy (drums), Eve Lande (guitar/vox), and Pip Smith (guitar/vox). Their debut album ‘Who Are We Turning Into?’ was released in November 2016 and they are hot off their East Coast + Adelaide tour, followed by a bunch of summer shows and festivals with The Holy Soul, Straight Arrows and other great local bands. They have been embraced by remote community radio stations and triple j alike, have been independent artist of the week on FBi and have had their DIY clips played on Rage.

Drunk people at shows have described the band as: “blasting”, “mad”, “doo-wop-punk”, “garage”, “like something off the Aussie 80s Ugly Things comp” and (their most coveted) “CBGBs 70s era”. With a rhythm section aiming for New York punk, three lead vocals layered with harmonies and guitar influences equally Rowland S Howard and The Shadows, Imperial Broads are making some interesting noise.

The Knots are a bunch of lads from southern Sydney who can't really think of a description that isn't the same as every other band. The important stuff is they enjoy playing music and drinking beers a little more than the average person and think that you might enjoy their live show. From a classic rock sound to sleazy blues to modern psychedelia, they've got a bit of something for everyone. Having played shows with the likes of Luca Brasi and The Delta Riggs, they reckon they must be doing something right. So come get some Knots into ya.

Since their debut at Subpars Festival at the end of 2016, Goodnight Japan has already been filling some of Sydney’s top venues with their post-punk-meets-bedroom-pop sound. Mixing elements of Yo La Tengo, Life Without Buildings, Pavement and Joy Division, they’ve played with SEIMS, Dying Adolescence, Cosmic Flanders, Sketch Jets, Billy Puntton and Suburban Girl. They are about to record their first EP.
